We Built the Standard That Didn’t Exist
Protecting Our Students, Inc. (POSI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded on a single conviction: school safety should be measurable, not just claimed. Over six years of original research and development, we built the frameworks that make that possible — the 4-Level Safety Standard℠, the 94-Point Safety Zones℠, the Dynamic Safety Score℠, and the SafeSchool REPORT℠.
These aren’t buzzwords. They are a rigorous, structured methodology that gives schools a way to honestly assess where they stand — and gives parents, communities, and policymakers a way to understand what the numbers actually mean.
No one handed us this blueprint. We built it from the ground up because it had to exist.
What We’re Building Next
POSI is now powering SafeSchoolMAP℠ — a national platform designed to deliver verified safety scores for every K–12 school in America. For the first time, families will be able to search any school and see a real, data-driven picture of its safety posture.
This is not a government program. It is not a corporate product. It is a mission — driven by the belief that every parent deserves honest information, and every child deserves a school that takes safety seriously.
