What founding districts receive

A full safety assessment, delivered by the team that built the standard.

Founding districts work directly with POSI to complete a full SiteSafetyNet℠ assessment across all four levels — and receive a board-ready SafeSchool REPORT℠ at the end. Your team completes it in hours, No usage tier limitations, No hardware to install, No consultant invoicing.

  • Full SiteSafetyNet℠ assessment

All 94 safety zones across Levels 1–4, completed at your district's pace over 2–4 weeks.

  • Complete SafeSchool REPORT℠

Your Dynamic Safety Score℠, zone-by-zone findings, and a prioritized improvement roadmap — formatted for board presentation.

  • Direct access to POSI leadership

Founding districts work with POSI's founder and team throughout — no support tickets, no junior reps.

  • Reassessment included

One follow-up reassessment included to track progress against your initial roadmap.

  • Confidentiality & data ownership

Your assessment data and report remain the property of your district. Participation stays confidential unless you choose otherwise.

The exchange

What we ask in return.

Founding districts help refine the platform through ongoing feedback, and — if willing — become reference partners for future district inquiries. That's it. No financial commitment, no purchase obligation, no automatic renewal.

Request your district's slot.

Tell us a little about your district and we'll respond within two business days with next steps.

Questions districts ask before signing up.

Is this really free? What's the catch?
It's really free. POSI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the founding-district pilot is funded through our mission, not through district fees. The "exchange" is your willingness to provide feedback that helps refine the platform — and, if you choose, to serve as a reference for future district inquiries. No purchase obligation, no automatic renewal, no hidden fees.
How much of my staff's time will this take?
Approximately 6–8 hours of total staff time, distributed across the people who already own safety in your district — facilities, counselors, SRO/district liaison, compliance lead. Elapsed time is 2–4 weeks at your own pace. The platform saves progress, so no one has to block out a full day.
Will our data or scores be shared publicly?
No. Assessment data and the SafeSchool REPORT℠ remain the property of your district. POSI never publishes, names, or shares identifying information without your explicit written consent. If you decline to be a reference partner, your participation in the pilot stays fully confidential.
What if our district isn't selected?
POSI is selecting three founding districts that represent diverse contexts — different sizes, geographies, and grade configurations — to ensure the platform is broadly applicable. If your district isn't selected for the 2026–27 cohort, you'll be the first invited when additional slots open, and you'll receive early access to assessment tools.
How is this different from our insurance carrier's safety audit?
Insurance audits measure insurability — what reduces the carrier's risk exposure. SiteSafetyNet℠ measures comprehensive safety across physical, behavioral, partnership, and diagnostic dimensions. The two are complementary, not redundant. Many districts use POSI findings to inform conversations with their carrier.
Who built this, and why should we trust the framework?
POSI was founded in 2019 as a 501(c)(3) by a Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) after identifying the absence of a verifiable, comparable safety standard for K–12. The 4-Level Safety Standard℠ draws on CISA K–12 School Security Guide principles, CPTED, and post-incident analyses from recent school events. Six years of original work informs every zone.
